Why AWS leads the cloud

Rumors about Amazon Web Services falling from the podium were premature. In an effort to democratize cloud computing services, AWS has overtaken everyone since it was spun off from mega retailer Amazon in 2002 and launched major storage products S3 and EC2 in 2006. And that leadership remains. AWS grew rapidly, became a company that fundamentally transformed the IT industry and achieved a market leadership position, which remains - the most recent research linked to market share, made by Synergy Research , points to almost twice the market share of its closest rival Microsoft Azure, with 33% of the AWS market to 18% of Microsoft . Data from market consultancy IDC for the second half of 2019 also puts AWS in a clear lead: with 13.2% of the public cloud services market, slightly ahead of Microsoft with 11.7%. As with any business, Amazon's cloud success comes down to a confluence of factors: good timing, solid technology and a parent company with enough deep pockets to make aggressi

Women and servers with young children were the servers most impacted by the home office

The pandemic of the new coronavirus affected the productivity of the federal public servant who works from home. The most impacted groups are women and parents of children under 5 years old. The conclusion is part of a survey released last Friday (4) by the Ministry of Economy. Know more:  Managed LAN Service According to the survey, carried out in May and June, women reported 26 minutes of non-productivity every hour, compared to just 12 minutes for men. The main reported difficulties were domestic distractions and the lack of interaction with colleagues. Technological problems and lack of delimitation of the boundary between personal and professional life were also mentioned. Federal civil servants with children up to 4 years old reported a greater impact, with 42 minutes of non-productivity per hour. Among those who have no children in this age group, the time they have not worked has dropped to 16 minutes. Among pet owners without children, there was virtually no variation. Technol

What can we expect for cloud computing in 2021?

Cloud computing is the centerpiece of the global technical response to the Covid-19 crisis. In fact, the top public cloud providers have been outstanding commercial successes in this unusual year. Because companies everywhere were able to keep the lights on with staff working in their homes, all the major cloud providers have substantially increased their revenues and continued to deliver innovations at a breakneck pace. With the new coronavirus pandemic still hammering the global economy, here are my predictions for the 2021 enterprise cloud computing market. Cloud computing will be central to the new post-pandemic normal In the sad and tense year that is coming to an end, cloud services have been a boon to stop the economy and our lives from stopping. In 2021 and beyond, everyone will continue to rely entirely on clouds (as well as streaming, remote collaboration, smart sensors and other cloud-based digital technologies) to emerge from a pandemic that is still hitting us unapologetic

Deep learning: the gateway to the education of the future

The emergence of new technologies has also brought many novelties for teaching, whether in schools or companies. And, to respond to the new demands of a market that has also evolved in the digital transformation, it was necessary to innovate the ways of teaching and learning online. Read more:  Managed Meraki Services Although the advent of the e-learning environment has promised a more flexible and independent learning due to its scalability, it can still represent a barrier for institutions and companies. As we move into the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), new techniques such as deep learning and artificial neural networks are developed to improve the effectiveness of machine learning and make AI applications more meaningful. Deep learning involves algorithms that predict possible results based on user data, which allows a computer to display behaviors learned from experiences. Each new piece of information that a deep learning model receives makes it more intuitive. How to E

The financial side of information security

One of the biggest data protection problems is the financial side. Scams and fraud generate big losses for companies that have their systems hacked or their data compromised, which can be stolen or corrupted. The impact that a cyber threat can have on a company is very high, and can even lead to the closure of the company. Know more:  Managed Onsite Services In large publicly traded companies, the risks are even greater, as there are external and internal investors. Generally, the directors want to have a period of return on the amount invested or to know how much this investment will generate income for the company.  In small and medium-sized businesses, data theft can expose plans to competitors and sensitive data. In addition, the company's image is damaged, leading to loss of consumers and market confidence.  The Linux administrator ensures the systems are updated with changing technologies. In this sense, it is important that IT managers know how to defend the importance of

The leaderships of the IT departments become part of the executive decision boards, and disruptive solutions are required from them and

Benefits of cloud computing for businesses

Check below, in detail, what are the main advantages that cloud computing can provide to organizations. Cost reduction It is no longer necessary to buy servers, update applications or operating systems, or discard hardware or software when they are out of date, as all of this is resolved by the provider. It is also no longer necessary to spend on hiring trained professionals to deal with an internal infrastructure. The cloud vendor is responsible for keeping everything always available, reliable and healthy so that users of resources only focus efforts and investments on the company's core business. This means a giant cost reduction. What's more, cloud computing provides more predictability of spending, since you only need to pay for what will actually be used, when used. Flexibility and scalability  Increasing and reducing technological capacity is also simpler, faster and cheaper with cloud computing. For example, if the company has an application development project, it onl
